On Monday and Tuesday the teachers told us that we would make Ice Cream on tuesday. So we made it and we took a few photos and ingrediants to make ice cream. Enjoy it!

Learning story: I picked to do this topic because I really wated to learn about cows and I just didn't have the time to so I did it in Free Writing.  I enjoyed this topic because I think cows are so adorable and cute so I could easily enjoy it.  What I found easy about this part was probably writing the title but besides that finally learning the topic that I wanted to learn about the most.  what I found hard about this was that I had to do some research and it wasn't easy.  Thank you for cheacking out my learning about cows.  Have a search around

Title: Cows

Cows are raised in many different contries in the world, mainly for the Cows natural recorces such as, Milk, Meat and leather.  In India the cows as seen as a sacred animal.  Cows scientific name is Bos Taurus.

Apperance

Cows skin type is leather and cows most eaten meal is sweet green grass.  Cows natural colour is Black, Brown and White, most cows have those particular colours.  The weight of a fully grown Holstein cow is 1,500 lbs.  Male and Female cows have different weights.

Cows have preditors such as Humans, Wolves and Bears.  Cows are hunted by more animals but those are the main preditors of cows.

Cows Diets

Cows are Herbivores so they don't eat meat but they eat plants and grass.  Cows eat grass hay, alfalfa, corn and seeds.  They eat plants so they eat those.  Just imangin a cow eating meat.  No wonder why nature made cows herbivores.  When farmers found cows and started to bring them to their farms they found out that cows eat grass.  So they started growing grass even thought grass grows by itself.

Hi guys this is my blog writing and I am using a story starter.  Hope you enjoy!

I'm walking past the wharf and I see a wave.  It's no ordinary wave "Something is fishy about this" I say to myself.  I go onto the wharf and the wave grows taller.  I go into panic mode and I start getting scared.  People that were walking past are now crowding around me.  I'm suprised that not much people are running away scared and terrified.  Then the wave topples over us then drags us into sea.  Now people are sceaming for help and some are even crying.  I am trying to breathe and stay calm but who knows whats under me?  I start to panic and stuggle to breathe.  More bigger waves come and they topple over us.  We go more deep into sea and we can't swim back because the waves keep taking us more further.  The people that were once trying to swim to the wharf ladder are lying on their backs and resting.  The waves are kind of cooling down and stopped going hypo.  People were trying to comfort some people that were afraid of the water.  I said to myself "Why did they go by the wharf in the first place?"  A woman shouts out "We're over here!" Everyone looks in her direction.  A man shouts out "We see boats!"  The boat come more closer and it's a rescue boat!  A bunch of people start shouting and scraming for help.  More rescue boats come near and they throw life floats on three people on each boats and they get everyone safely on the boats.  And that is the end of my story.

Assembly Friday 2nd November

On Friday 2nd of November was our assembly.  We had to do a Halloweeny type of theme.  Those two people at the fornt were the main character of the assembly.  They were making everything funny and a little bit scary.  So this is how the assembly went.  It went amazing! There was laughter and clapping but mostly laughter.  So for the first item we done a dance called poco loco from coco.  Also if you can spot my face comment down below!  And for our second item I think it was te reo selfie's.  I don't remeber which ones were in order.  I had my name up there but luckily they didn't play it.  For our third item we sang a song called World's Greatest.  The teachers picked an easy song because we missed one day to do our assembly practise.  And for our fourth item we done a dance.  But it was really supposed to be a skit but we didn't know what the skit will be about.  The dance was from just dance and it was called rave in the grave.  Before our assembly we added some cobwebs so we can make the assembly spooky.  There is a halloween dicso tonight and so we are leaving the cobwebs there.  And that is a normal assembly and a normal day of friday.  Goodbye!

About my holiday

(sorry it's so long)

After that last day of school, I said goodbye to all of my friends and said “Hope you have a wonderful holiday”. After I said that to all of my friends and teachers I slowly walked to Ebony’s class and told her “We should get going now” It was my birthday so I invited her to my house.  I invited another friend but we had to wait for her to get dropped off. Ebony is my bestest friend ever, we knew each other since we were two years old. We started to walk down the hill, we chattered until we arrived at our destination. I knocked on the door and said "We're Home!" I walked over to my room and Ebony followed in excitment. We talked and talked over and over again. And we waited for a little longer until Aisha turned up. I was so happy to see her because we both went to different schools so we didn't see each other much. Then we talked and talked with Aisha then we decided we would like to jump on the trampoline. We were called inside from my mum and dad. We were bored so I asked if we coulld play on our devices. My mum said yes and I asked "Okay, who wants to play on what"
Ebony and Aisha said fortnite and all I had was my chromebook. We played and played until my sister came into the room. Then us four played and played until it was dinner time. We had fish and chips for dinner because we didn't know what else to have for dinner. We ate then we jumped back on our devices and I tried teaching Ebony and Aisha how to play fortnite but they wouldn't listen. It was close to bed time so we set up out bed in the lounge. We were watching Netflix all night until I fell asleep. I got kicked at all night and I woke up with a in pain back. The next day came over and it was the most exciting day all weekend because we would be doing activities. We had to clean up the house before we left so we cleaned up and got changed into our clothes because we would be going to Flip Out! It's the new trampoline place where there is trampolines EVERYWHERE! When we drove up to Whangarai we drove to the trampoline place and we boked in. Our time was at 11:30 so we got something to eat. We ate Burger King because it was my birthday weekend. then it came 11:30 we jumped in the car and dad rushed us to Flip Out. We had to wait for about 5 minutes but it felt like forever. Then we finally could jump on, but first we had to get a few ground rules. The worker told us the ground rules then he said "Okay you guys can go on the trampolines now". Kids were pushing through kids but we made it on first. Kids were jumping everywhere and we were jumping everywhere. We split up and divided. There was a foam pit but it had a cover on it but we were still allowed to go on it. I done forward flips into the foam pit and Ebony done dives. We had spent a long time at the trampoline place but it was time to go to the pools. Whe rushed to the pools then dad payed for us to go in the pools. We splashed and splashed over and over again but then the slides opened up. There was two slides, one is dark and one is light I went on the slides with atleast one buddy. I went on the slide all the time but we stayed there for hours and hours until we had to leave. When we were driving home everyone was exhausted. And my friends had to be dropped off home. I said to myself "I had a great time" And that is the end of my holidays.

Classification - Kawakawa is a small town in New Zealand in the north island, Kawakawa is also in the Bay Of Islands.  It is beside Moerewa, Waiomio, Taumarere and Otiria.



History - The Kawakawa train went into business in 1864.

When the Kawakawa Train Workers discovered coal they learned how to make the train travel by mixing fire and coal together

Local River and how it is used - The Kawakawa river name changes to the Waiomio Stream, then the Otiria Stream and lastly Waiharakeke Stream.

Geographical information - The Kawakawa Population is 1,221. There are 633 Females and 588 Males.

He scratches his bushy beard wondering how to make the most delicious

burger in the world by using potions.

He researches all night and day just to complete that task.

He stays up all night just to get his goal accomplished.

He mixes potions together over and over again,Turning a different colour every time.

He flicks through pages reading books and instructions.  He boils his potions constantly.

After 3 months of research and all of that work he accomplished.

He officially made the most delicious burger in the entire world.

Now he can enjoy the burger and rest from all of that work.

We are writing about how a group could make a difference to our awa.  Here is mine.

How can a group of kids make a difference to our awa? They could make posters to put around the town or advertisements to go on TV. And they can make inventions to help the local community.And just tell friends and family so they can tell other people

They can help by making posters to put up and advertisements on tv so people can see what is happening in the community.  People need to know. Like these People in germany they put posters up for a town clean up it did work. But only a little showed up to the clean up.  That shows how little people care about our rubbish and how it affects our community and what live in it.

They can also help by making inventions to help the community or town that they live in.  they could make some things to clean up or make it that the shops can ban plastic bags or make a car that picks up rubbish or something.  If they made something like this it'll really help the town or place or city that they live in.

Lastly they can help by telling friends and family. That'll also do a big help to the community or city or town.  By telling friends and family they will tell other people what's happening then they will tell other people then it´ll keep going on then they will clean up and help the place they live in.

In conclusion what I think kids should do is help the place town or city they live in.  Live telling family friends. Making posters or advertisements on T.V. Or simply make something to help the community. This'll all make a difference to the place we live in.

This is my writing about why we should pick up rubbish and stop littering. Maybe reading this might change how you act by littering.

Rubbish can kill animals because the rubbish can block up their lungs and them die.  Rubbish can affect our waterways because it can block up some pipes and it could make the lakes very dirty and not protected.

Did you know that turtles keep dying from eating plastic.  And the more we litter, Then it gets swept away by the storms into the ocean, The more animals die because of our mistake. And did you know that 800 animals are killed each month by plastic and rubbish and more things.

I think Hayden Smith is a good person for cleaning up the country and convincing others to help him clean up the country.  If we would all help clean up our local beaches and rivers then we could all have a nice, clean place. We wouldn't have to worry anymore about losing all of our rivers to pollution.

Keeping our waterways, animals, ocean and land safe is very important, if we all work together to find new ways to use less plastic then we will have much cleaner places, otherwise we can just keep cleaning and cleaning. Protecting our home and animals are important.
