Leadership Program

There was a leadership program run by the firefighters and policemen.  The promgram was used to create confidence, temwork, and leadership within ourselves.  It was really fun but sadly for me I am a year 8 and can't continue with the program.  I really enjoyed the program and I hope to see this promgram in 2021.

Arataki Visiting :)

On Tuesday every week we participate in this thing set up by the fire brigade and we work as a team, if one person doesn't do something properly then we all get punished.  It was extra interesting this week because the Arataki people from the college came up to Kawakawa Primary to teach us some commandments.  I reckon we were learning faster and better with their commucation  skills.  We were very good at everuything alse besides the march because most people.

 

Free Writing - weekend

 Last week on the weekend I went to bed at about 12am and woke up at like 1pm because I like sleep.  My dad went diving for saturday and forgot about me and my brother until 11:00pm and my mum was with my sister for the weekend for her wananga, so basically I was just on a 7 hour call with my cousin for the day, doing nothing but drinking monster and playing roblox and sleeping.  On Sunday my dad woke up and grabbed my brother and took him to waitangi.  My mum was with them, they didn't even bother to ask me.  They left and I was in the room again, drinking monster, sleeping and on another call with my friend.  That was the most boring weekend of my life.  (I was with my nan and papa for the weekend)

Leadership training

Every Tuesday at school there is this thing called Leadership Training.  It teaches us to always be in line and to follow instructions because our class is the worst at listening.  I really enjoy this leadership thing because it teaches us commands like "height" where you have to push your back upwards.

Culture Slide - Information

 

For the past 2 weeks we have been learning about different cultures and the differences on our country and theirs, me and my partner Noah have picked Mexico.

Te Reo Convosation

 

We were learning how say a convosation in Maori, a FULL convosation.  We used all of the sentances we learnt in the past few weeks we have been doing Te Reo.

The Importance Of Diversity - Publishing

For the past week or two we have been learning about the importance of diversity.  I found this hard because I had no idea what to put on my publishing and it took ages to think about.

Te reo

Every week for Te Reo we have been learning basic phases and recording ourselves using these phrases to ask how your day was going or what are you doing on the weekend.  This is mine and Kyla's. :)

Family Tree :)

For the past Two Weeks we have been learning about our family's, so we done some family trees.  I found this task easy because all I needed to do was ask my mum for some names of my Great Grand Parents, and after that I just needed to add their names onto my slide :)

Scratch Game Making

We were learning to code by using a different website, scratch.

Our task was to make a creation on scatch, mostly game needed to be made.

I found this easy because I have done a chase game before.

Next time I will continue to work on this game until I finish it.

My Pac-man publishing :)

This week we had a choice writing we HAD to do, I didn't have anything at mind at first but I thought of how I wanted to go home, and then I thought of games then Pac-man got into my mind.  I found this easy just because there is alot of information about Pac-Man in this one website.

Te Reo Slide

I was learning how to say "How are you?" and "Where do you live?" in Maori.
My task was to say two whole sentances in Maori.
I learnt how to express different feelings in Maori such as tired or annoyed, ngenge.
I found it easy because I got a lot of help from a lot of people.
Next time I will learn to say more and more different expressions in Maori.

CUBE GEOMETRY

For the past few weeks we have been learning about geometry,

This was our first cube making so far.

I was learning how to create a cube in real life,

My task was to succesfully make a cube,

I learnt different shape names in 3D,

I found it easy peasy because I have made a cube in the past,

Next time I will make a New Shape, hopefully not relating to the cube.

CODING - JUNE 2020

I was learning to code something different this week, not like minecraft.
My task was to create a coded game.
I learnt how to do the basic coding, like moving everything and controlling things.
I found out there are more fun things than minecraft coder, basketball is a very easy and fun thing to start on coding aswell.
Next time I will definitly try different projects out,

']]'\\ I was learning to say how I was feeling right now in Maori. I learnt how to say "I am tired" in Maori, I learnt many more but that is my main :) I found this easy because I have been given this task in the past. Next time I will add more sentances :)

CODING 2020 JUNE

I was leanring how to code by using code.org.
My task was to make something by using codes and to make sure it worked by constantly retrying and improving.
I learnt how to make better things by using code.org,
I found it easy because I have used this website in the past and so I basically knew what to do.
Next time I will try out different projects instead of doing basketball and minecraft.

How to make pure Kawakawa Oil (Rongoa)

My task was to write a procedure writing about how to make pure kawakawa Oil.  I found this task medium, I found it easy to layout and write what needed to be writen down but I had to keep watching the video over and over again because she was talking to fast.  I enjoyed doing this because it was something that was definitly on my level.

Coding 2020 :)

Today we learnt how to code, I ran out of time to finish this, but I will finish this next week :)

I found this hard, because I always had to change up the movements either because I mucked it up, or it did just not work.  This was a very fun project to do, I really enjoyed it.

Growth Mindset

We learnt about what growth mindsets and fixed mindsets, we watched videos and we had to write down what we learnt about the difference of Growth and Fixed Mindsets.

Inside of my lockdown - Senses Poem

For writing we had to describe what happened during lockdown by using our 5 senses.  This was the first writing piece we have started in Term 2 after the lockdown period.  What I found easy was thinking about the events that happened, the hard part was describing the events by using correct words for writing.



 

The first week of school ;(

On the first day of school I felt excited, I just wanted to see my friends, but most of them weren't coming.  When I realized I was going to be alone in class, I was nervous.  Once I walked inside of the class, I realized many things, like Whaea Dana wasn't there, but Mrs Norman was, and the chairs and tables were spread out, and Miss had a bunch of rules to go over.

The toilet was the weirdest one.  I learnt some maths in quarantine, but in school, I learn't how to colour inside of the lines.  I enjoyed the slow movements.  So like we aren't going straight into learning YET.

LEAF-OLDIO

While on quarantine/isolation we had to do many tasks, this is one of those many tasks. We had to find any object outside, I found a leaf. I named it leaf-oldio and you can read the rest in my story :) I found this task easy, alot of people reckon I have a big imagination and so I came up with a name and how it was made by who. Again, it was easy
